Hice esta pieza para la exposición Cronologías, curada por Pablo Vargas Lugo, con apoyo de la Rockefeller Foundation.
En la parte más alta, el muro al fondo hacia donde el espectador debía escalar la arena, mande a hacer y puse una gran fotocopia dos tarjetas postales que encontré de mi abuelo Crisólogo Gatica, Comunista Internacionalista que había viajado por todo el mundo: una era del Rockefeller Center y la otra de un muro Inca del Cuzco. Las dos imágenes calzaban una junto a la otra perfectamente, como un rompecabezas.

I made this piece for the exhibition Cronologías, curated by Pablo Vargas Lugo, with the support of the Rockefeller Foundation
On the wall at the back towards where the spectator had to climb, I put this enlarged print of two postcards I found in my grandfather’s archive Crisólogo Gatica, an Internationalist Communist who had traveled all over the world. One was from Rockefeller Center and the other from an Inca wall in Cuzco.The two images fitted together perfectly, like a jigsaw puzzle.
